We are excited to announce that as of 1 July 2024, our team at AsyLex has taken over the Rights in Exile platform from AMERA International!
The platform has become a point of reference on refugee legal aid globally, and we aim to continue building it and strengthening access to justice for refugees, following the brilliant legacy of AMERA International and its founder, Dr. Barbara Harrell-Bond.
From now on, the platform will be accessible at the new URL www.rightsinexile.org (or through www.asylex.org). Over the next months, AsyLex will focus on building capacity and restructuring the management of the platform. In the spirit of Rights in Exile’s establishment by Barbara Harrell-Bond and colleagues as a global movement for refugee rights, AsyLex aims to create a collaborative management model for the platform, where individuals and organisations from the refugee legal community can join forces and contribute to enhance the platform’s resources and reach. Watch this space and our social media pages (Linked In, Instagram, Facebook, X, Youtube) for the latest updates, and reach out to rightsinexile@asylex.org if you want to know more about the project and how to collaborate.
We want to thank AMERA International and everyone who has been a part of building the Rights in Exile and are excited for the opportunity to keep this invaluable platform alive!
